Support worker Lily started her career in support work when she just finished high school. Since then, Lily has loved being a support worker every day!
Her role has led her to meet clients like Margaret, who still lives independently at 93 and has Lily visiting fortnightly to help around the house.
Lily’s visits give Margaret the confidence knowing that someone like Lily is able to support her and provide companionship. These visits have also benefitted Lily, as it has helped her come out of her shell and excel in her career through the opportunities the role provides.
Lily is now completing her Certificate III in Individual Support, and she is confident that she will be able to draw on the skills she’s learning everyday in her role.
