Emily May hasn’t always been a support worker, but after having children, she started looking for a career with more flexibility. Through word-of-mouth, Emily May applied for a role with Alliance Community and was hired that same day! Since, her new career has allowed her to work when she wants, while making an impact on the lives of elderly clients like Lesley.
Through their client and support worker relationship, Emily May and Lesley have formed an intergenerational friendship that is grounded in the shared love they have for family. Emily May looks forward to the heartfelt weekly conversations they share, sharing stories about their own families, while Emily May provides Lesley a helping hand around the house.
