Alliance Community are a NDIS registered service provider specialising in delivering quality, individualised and flexible support services to the elderly, mental health clients, young and old people living with a disability. We also provide a Support to people living in Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) via our 24/7 On-Site Support model.
We are seeking professional, passionate, and enthusiastic people who share our values and commitment to join our team in Bowden, SA.
About the role:
The Bowden property is an SDA apartment located on Fourth Avenue, Bowden. The SDA provider is one of Australia Most trusted SDA Housing Providers, Enliven Housing. Alliance Community will soon be providing 24/7 supports via the On-Site support hub and we are looking for a team of Support Workers to fill the vacancies.
We are looking for:
- Provide person-centred support tailored to individual needs
- Assist with personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
- Medication administration, prompting and guidance
- Encourage independence and skill-building
- Maintain accurate documentation, incident reporting and progress notes.
- Must be able to provide supports that allows tenants to live the life they want in their own, without conflicting personal judgement, personal bias or opinions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and provide empathetic support is essential
Qualifications:
- Certificate III or IV in Disability or equivalent qualification
- Training in Medication Administration or willing to obtain
- Current Manual Handling, First Aid and CPR certification
- NDIS Worker Screening Check, Police clearance and Working with Children’s Check
There will be other mandatory modules and training you must either evidence or complete via Alliance Community prior to commencement which may include:
- Epilepsy
- Diabetes
- Restrictive Practice
- WHS
- Bowel and Continence care
- Oxygen training
- Dysphagia
