Disability support worker (children and young people) - Adelaide Hills

Alliance Community are a NDIS registered service provider specialising in delivering quality, individualised and flexible support services to the elderly, mental health clients, young and old people living with a disability. We also provide a broad range of services to clients outside the NDIS.
We’re looking for experienced Disability Support workers to work with children and young people with complex needs and challenging behaviours in Adeliade Hills, SA.
About the role:
The ideal applicant will be seeking stable and consistent work, happy to work with a flexible availability, available to work 4-10 hour shifts, including active/passive overnight shifts.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Support the development of daily living skills and capacity for self-care
- Provide support to work towards individual goals
- Develop professional relationships with individuals, their families and others in the community
- Adhere to any Behaviour Support Plans
- Providing timely and accurate case notes
- Effectively advocate the views of the young people
- Participate in team meetings, reflective practice and supervision, debriefing and various support activities
Qualifications:
- Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability or higher
- National Criminal Police Check
- NDIS Workers Check
- Working with Children Check
- Child Safe Environments ‘Through their eyes’ or willing to obtain
- Current driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Current First Aid Certificate and CPR
- Manual Handling
- Certificate in Administer and Monitor Medications in the workplace or willing to obtain
