Disability support worker - Fleurieu Peninsula
Alliance Community are a NDIS registered service provider specialising in delivering quality, individualised and flexible support services to the elderly, mental health clients, young and old people living with a disability. We also provide a broad range of services to clients outside the NDIS.
We’re looking for experienced Support workers in the Fleurieu Peninsula area to work with children with complex needs and challenging behaviours. The ideal Support worker will be seeking stable and consistent work, happy to work with a flexible availability, available to work 1-10hour shifts.
What you’ll do:
- Support the development of daily living skills and capacity for self-care
- Providing timely and accurate case notes
- Develop professional relationships with individuals, their families and others in the community
- Manage challenging behaviours should this arise
- Provide support to work towards individual goals
- Assist and monitor medications
What we’re looking for:
- Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability or higher
- National Criminal Police Check
- NDIS Workers Check
- Working with Children Check or willing to obtain
- Child Safe Environments ‘Through their eyes’ or willing to obtain
- Current driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Current First Aid Certificate and CPR
- Manual Handling
- Certificate in Administer and Monitor Medications or willing to obtain
