Daniel Wells is the centre of his mum and dad’s world and his happiness and wellbeing is a constant worry. He has recently moved into a high care facility and once a week support workers like Chloe and Haley from Alliance Community help him exercise.
Exercising with the support workers is important for Daniel because it keeps him moving as he is in a wheel chair most other times. Swimming is definitely a highlight for Daniel as he sneaks in a cheeky smile while splashing around with Chloe and Haley.
The young Support Workers, having worked with Daniel for over 6 months, find the experience immensely rewarding while learning so much more about each other. Daniel’s mum is happy with the way Daniel responds to the young Support Workers saying he has that sixth sense of knowing that they are caring for him.
Knowing that Daniel is in good hands has given his mum and dad an assurance that there are people and organizations like Alliance Community that can and will continue to support him for his needs.
