Meet Dylan! 

He joined Alliance Community a year ago and is enjoying his role as a Support & Care Coordinator. Before he was offered this opportunity, Dylan was working as a disability support worker and has been in the industry for seven years.

The opportunity given to him by Alliance Community has helped him to advance his career. He said his current role involves a lot of phone calling and emailing as he must check in with clients to ensure they are satisfied with service delivery.

“I manage any client or carer issues, provide ongoing training and support to our carers, ensuring our care workers are compliant with data entry and managing client rosters to provide stability in their lives. What I enjoy most is the interaction with both clients and carers. The opportunity to assist our clients remain independent and active in their community and assisting our carers to learn new skills,” he said.

Dylan shares that the feel-good factor of being able to give back to the community and knowing that you are making a positive impact makes it easy to get out of bed every morning. He encourages individuals passionate about making a difference to sign up as a Support Star with Alliance Community.

“Alliance Community provides support workers an opportunity to learn new skills and grow in the industry. The office staff also provides ongoing support to all our support workers and ensure they are happy in their roles.”
